About Us

Over 18 years of CPR and First Aid Training in the Northwest!

Northwest CPR Professionals was founded by me, Chelsea Huennekens, a CPR/First Aid instructor with over 18 years of experience.   My passion is helping people save lives. I’m a little different than your average CPR Instructor, and so are our classes.

First of all, I’ve been a public school teacher in the Seattle area for many years.  I've focused on early childhood development and troubled youth, so I understand how important it is to convey information in a fun and engaging way...yes, even learning CPR and First Aid can be fun!  I also believe it’s not just about skills, like compressions, breathing etc, but also about learning things like the rescuer mindset, teamwork, and communication skills in times of emergency.  We do this in a fun, supportive, and compassionate way and participants leave empowered and energized!

To accommodate larger class sizes and increased demand, we are expanding our Certified Instructor staff!  We recently added Peter Karasseferian.  He brings over 20 years of experience as a Corporate Trainer and Business Development Manager!

CPR certification is something that many industries need for legal, regulatory or licensing reasons, but I know it can be a gigantic headache to set up and to get staff to want to participate.  Here are a few ways I can help make this requirement much easier AND have your staff not only trained, but also inspired and equipped!

·       Flexible and convenient class options:  For CPR and First Aid, a full class is about 2.5 to 3 hours, which many organizations elect to do after hours.  Also, we make a blended format available, which lets staff do much of the online/video work in their own time, and then we come together for about and an hour to do the hands-on skills portion and make sure EVERYONE feels confident and gets lots of hands-on practice.  This format also allows me to certify smaller groups and even individuals.  It provides a great option when you just hired someone, but the rest of the group isn’t needing to be trained for another 8 months.  Whether it’s 1 staff member, 20 or even 200, we can help you stay in compliance and make sure your staff is ready to rescue!

·       Fun and engaging teaching style:  Fun?  CPR?  Really?  Brain research shows us that people learn best when they are relaxed, connected to one another, and having fun.  In our classes participants are constantly moving, practicing on manikins (usually everyone gets their own), having spirited discussions, and taking home helpful resources.  Participants leave saying, “I never thought taking a CPR could actually be fun!”.

·       Affordable and inclusive pricing:  We offer some of the best pricing in the area, with two-year certifications starting as low as $45 per person. This includes everything, including a digital copy of their card, ongoing access to the videos, ongoing support from me, and usually some pretty cool swag too!  Discounts are available for larger groups and for licensed day care providers.  We am able to accept nearly all forms of payment, including cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, and CashAPP.  I can also invoice your corporate office If needed.  Discounts may be available as well!

·       Quality Curriculum and certification cards with National Acceptance:  We only teach curriculums that meet and exceed AHA guidelines and have acceptance with all state regulatory agencies.  There will never be any surprises when your licenser comes knocking!
